ScHoOL DiLeMma

At this moment of time, I’m having a hard time finding what school my little girl would fit in. School Class started for some yesterday June 10, 2008, still I’m in the process of searching for the right school and other option. I really don’t know where to enroll my kid. If ever none of them satisfy me and fit what I want, I probably enrolled her at Toddler’s Unlimited Saturday class which starts this coming June 21.

My girl is 2.8 years old, at this very tender age I can say that she is quite ready for school. She already knows the alphabet and can count 1 up to 20. She can sing and dance to what ever music you played. People say she’s smart and talkative. She can pronounce words properly. She can speak Spanish, you probably know y…yah right it’s because of DORA la Explorada and Diego…although, I may say she’s ready I don’t want to pressure my girl, i just want her to develop her social skills, I think a toddler’s class is a big help.

To prepare her for her first school, she attended summer class at Toddler’s Unlimited, 4th level Festival Mall. She loves going to school, to play with her teacher and classmate… the good thing with this school is that they have time for everything, time for playing, eating, storytelling, and my daughter’s favorite Romp Time (15minutes time to play at the play area). My only problem with this school is the location. If ever enrolled at this school, my daughter will be traveling 30 minutes to 1 hour with her yaya. This might be very stressful for my kid and the fear is also there. You never know what might happen during the travel time. But over all performance is remarkable, the school facilities and teachers are exceptional. To those interested, here’s the tuition fee they quoted for rylee:

MWF Session ( 3 times a week) P52,000.00
TTh Session ( 2 times a week) P48,000.00

Saturday Class (8 sessions) P5,000.00

Aside from Toddler’s Unlimited, here are some of lists of school I consider:

Concepcion Children Learning Center

The first time we (Hubby and I) saw this school, we already fell in love it. The facilities is great, my daughter love it because they have one room so called “Play Room”. Big Slides, kitchen set, dinning set, and a lot more toy for every child to play. We always bring our daughter with us, when ever we do our ocular visit to the school. We value her opinion; we asked her if she liked the school and the teacher she talked with. A positive response from her is one of our criteria, aside from school facilities, teachers, student who will join her, plus the “tuition fee” issues of course and location. One tricycle ride from our home is not bad. Her lolo together with her yaya can accompany her. The problem, they are not offering toddler class for school year 2008-09 . We talked to the administrative staff of the school, they told us, they will consider opening class suited for my child incase there would be other enrollees. Ummm…yah…crosses my finger!

Crownwell International School

On Saturday, I am scheduled to visit this school located at Villa Olympia Subdivision. They are not offering toddler’s class, they do admitted 2 year old child and adopted Montessori way of teaching. Other important info.

Semi –Annual – P15,000.00 upon enrollment
Quarterly – P14,500 upon enrollment and P4,350 starts on august
Monthly- P13,000 upon enrollment and 1750 starts on july

Little Explorer Montessori School

I’ll try to visit this school also on Saturday, its name sounds like they are a progressive school which I prefer more than the traditional school albeit I came from one of those. Still don’t know about the Tuition fees and other fees. Better not to forget all about it on my visit, wink!

At progressive, children learn through exploring, they don’t use worksheets; instead they explore new things with the kids, which make it more fun and exciting. They tend to answer their endless questions with themselves with their teacher’s guidance.

That’s it for now; hopefully I can enroll julianna within next week. Now, I realized that this is one of the endless tough job for parents, you need to evaluate even the smallest details, other may find it peculiar, and think we (hubby and I) are very picky, but when you really think about it, it make sense. We are now beginning to build our child future, and I believe giving her the best school is one big step.

Any recommendation? I’m open for any school recommendation within our vicinity…San Pedro, Laguna…Feel free to add comment and suggestion…tnx

FiRSt Timers!

Yah right! It’s also my first time to blog just like my friend Tin-Tin (who just registered an hour ago)… actually, I’m quite nervous of doing it so…Y?, because I’m a certified “NINGAS KUGON”, a Filipino term to describe people who likes to start new things but accomplish nothing! Hehehe… aside from being a non-sense writer ….it’s actually my guts and my desire that keeps me rolling!…

My nook will focus to my little girl, our relationship, me as a parent and she as a daughter, our family basically the things that surround us…an online diary for my precious gem….

Inspired by my friend bhang, my blog guru…I am happy to finally write my first ever blog! I welcome myself to the wonderful world of blogging! And hopefully, ink will continuously flow to my pen… (as if I’m not using my computer…lol!)

To all bloggers, feel free to add comments… tnx!
